SICK INTERNET PERVERT IS JAILED
AN INTERNET pervert from Irvine has been jailed for 18 months for performing sex acts and taking explicit photos with a 14-year-old girl. Martin Murray, 36, was one of three men locked up for having sexual relations with the schoolgirl after she posted her details on a social networking site.

Council say builders' strike 'unreasonable'
COUNCIL builders downed their tools in a 24-hour strike over hours and pay - while the local authority beckoned them back to the talking table. On Monday North Ayrshire Council construction workers responsible for emergency repairs and maintenance took union-backed industrial action in a bid to have their working week cut to 37 hours, in line with other local authority tradesmen in the UK.

WATER quality experts have condemned water on Irvine’s coast for failing to meet minimum EU standards - even though it passed last year. But the verdict comes in a year that saw the number of failing beaches soar from seven to 18 with the Marine Conservation blaming an increase in storm pollution caused by Scotland’s wettest summer for 30 years.

AUNT SEX PERV'S "BIBLICAL" CRIME
AN IRVINE man who had sex with his aunt has been slammed for committing an offence of “biblical” proportions after narrowly avoiding a jail sentence. Sheriff Seith Ireland told Stephen Green that his crime had caused public revulsion at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.
