APPEAL AFTER SERIOUS ASSAULT

A REVELLER was jumped by a gang of men and suffered a broken jaw after a barny in Irvine at the weekend.

The 38-year-old man had been enjoying a night out at a local club when he decided to go home.

But on his way up the road from Viva, the local man somehow got into an argument with the group near to the taxi rank on the town’s Bank Street in the early hours of Sunday morning.

He simply walked away from the situation but was followed by the gang.

And when he reached High Street a short time later, the thugs launched into a vicious attack punching and kicking him.

The man was rushed to Crosshouse Hospital and doctors discovered he had a fractured jaw.
