AILSA UNIT ON THE MOVE TO IRVINE?

A BRAND new psychiatric hospital is likely to be built in Irvine to replace the notorious Ailsa Hospital in Ayr.
However, health bosses have denied that there will be any affect on plans for a community casualty unit at the Ayrshire Central Hospital site.
A set of proposals from NHS Ayrshire and Arran - currently out to consultation - provides four options, with a new-build facility at the Irvine site understood by the Times to be the forerunner.
