'I'm dreading my dreadlock chop!'
By Alistair Neil
AN IRVINE woman who has been growing her dreadlocks for TWENTY years is this weekend set to give her treasured locks the chops - all in the name of charity.
Iona Winton's 60 dreads stretch out to a whopping 210ft and she will be calling on the help of her three sisters to carry out the task on Sunday.
Iona, a qualified teacher and physiotherapist, gives up her free time to volunteer in the town's Barnardo's Scotland store but wants to use her prized assets to raise more money for the children's charity.
Check out this week's Times for more on the remarkable charity chop.
