A MAGICAL DAY
Thousands enjoy the Marymass festivities
THE MARYMASS Queen beamed as the sun shone brightly on her coronation - while organisers said this year's festival was a great return to form.
Marymass 2008 has been hailed as an overwhelming success with a break in the miserable weather bringing massive numbers onto the streets and up to Irvine Moor.
And police have also praised the town after their new tactics for the festival resulted in only five arrests.
Marymass development chairman Ian Clarkson said: "Marymass has been through a difficult couple of years but now it's back stronger than ever!"
See The Times for your free pull-out with pictures of fun from the whole festival.
