GOALS? JIM'LL FIX IT!
By Stewart McConnell
That was the confident prediction from manager Chris Strain this week as his side geared up for Saturday’s opening Stagecoach Super League First Division match at home to Beith after the striker scored four times in Meadow’s 6-0 demolition of former club Ardeer Thistle in the Rockware Glass League Cup on Saturday.
The triumph earned them a quarter final slot and they will face either Largs Thistle or Beith at home in the last eight on Wednesday, August 30.
However before all that Strain’s side can look forward to facing derby rivals IRVINE VICTORIA in their final League Cup match tonight (Wednesday).
Strain told Sportscene: ”James has been playing very well for us and I think he is a great signing, he is good with both feet and has a great shot.
`I expect he will score more goals for us this season and will be an important player.
