FIRED-UP IRVINE VICTORIA are quietly confident they can pull off another giant-killing act by toppling higher league hosts East Kilbride Thistle on Saturday and book a fairytale berth in the last 16 of the Scottish Junior Cup.

Stagecoach Super League First Division leaders IRVINE MEADOW, who moved seven points clear on Saturday also believe they can see off Lochee Harp away in another Fourth Round tie while the only local side at home, KILWINNING RANGERS are optimistic as they welcome Rutherglen Glencairn.

Vics, who knocked out Super League First Division side Larkhall Thistle in the second round, are hoping to enhance their reputation as shock troops as they make the short trip to Showpark to face the Lanarkshire.

Boss Sanny McAnespie says the place is buzzing and his players are raring to go.

McAnespie took in the second half of East Kilbride’s 2-0 defeat at Meadow Park on Saturday and while acknowledging his side are in four a testing time feels they will not be overawed by the occasion.
