A magnificent seven wins for Victoria!
IRVINE VICTORIA 2 MUIRKIRK O
UNSTOPPABLE Vics chalked up their seventh win on the bounce and got another three points against the East Ayrshire visitors but had to work hard for them.
Rab Madden's team started sluggishly and it took them almost 15 minutes to carve out their first opening when Darryl Boyd blazed over the bar from 12 yards.
But the opener finally came when Stuart Little fired a ball to the back post and, while Muirkirk defenders froze, Gary Madden voleyed Vics in front.
Vics dominated the second half and missed missed a hatful of chances to get the game out of sight.
The hosts now had the wind and were territorially were dominating the game without creating any claercut chances.
But Kirk almost scored when Vics were caught on the break and a smart save by Chris MCue kept Vics in it.
Manager Rab Madden rang the changes on the hour with Scott Hayes replacing Darryl Boyd and Lee McCrae coming on for Stuart Little, then Ewan Robertson made way for Grant Collins.
Vics, hoever, got breathing space when a neat Grant Collins pass played the striker in and he made no mistake from eight yards for the win.
