Irvine Meadow 8 v 0 Bishopmill

MIGHTY Meadow cruised into the second round of the game's most prestigious competition with a fine display of passing football that left their visitors in tatters.

Former Ayr United midfielder David Hamilton bagged a hat-trick as Dow made up for the disappointment of last season's opening round exit at the hands of favourites Linlithgow rose.

New signing Andy McLaren almost made a dream start to his Meadow career when he was set up in his first minute but his low shot was well saved by Barry Anderson.
