McGinty's warning as holders toppled at Meadow Park
STRIKING sensation Brian mcGinty, whose glorious second half hat-trick helped IRVINE MEADOW come from behind to sink Citylink Scottish Junior Cup holders Bathgate Thistle says his side now fear no one and feels they have a great chance of winning the game's Holy Grail.
The former St Mirren man scored all his goals in a stunning five-minute spell as Meadow edged out the East Coast big guns 3-2 to avenge the 2005 semi-final defeat at their hands.
And he admitted defeat to then holders Linlithgow Rose last year - they lost 4-2 after taking a 2-0 lead - has made them doubly determined to succeed.
McGinty said after the game: "It was nice to get a hat-trick and it was unlike me to score with a header but Zander Ryan put a great cross over to me."
