IRVINE and Kilwinning bands have the chance of a lifetime to play on a state-of-the-art stadium quality stage during this year's Rock on the Water event at Marymass on Friday August 14.

They will open the stage, which features two massive high quality screens as well as crystal clear and powerful sound equipment more than capable of wowing fans at Hampden, let alone the Magnum.

All that bands who want to strut their stuff on the stage need to do is get a demo of their tunes over to the Irvine Times office.

They will then be in with a shout of joining the likes of Hells Bell and Eddi Reader, who will be headlining the remaining gigs at the Marymass Music Festival.

Get your demos to the Irvine Times, 43 Bank Street, Irvine.
