THE SCOTTISH Maritime Museum in Irvine is set to unveil its new look following a �1.25m refurbishment.
The museum will host its grand opening this Saturday, June 15 and reveal its exciting new look and to celebrate, entrance for children is now free.
With a new layout, fascinating new interpretation and a collection of new interactive exhibits, visitors will be able to step inside the vast, Victorian Linthouse engine shop, listen to the whirring of the machine pits and discover why Scotland's influence on the maritime history of the world has been so enormous.
