SPRINGSIDE Bowling Club was the venue for a recent spiritualist night, bingo and raffle, all held to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Organisers expected to raise about £900 at most but were delightfully surprised to reach a final total of £1,200.
On the strength of that sell-out success it’s now hoped to hold an event every year.
Host Lynsey Mullen, from Springside, commented: “A special thank you to my helpers Isobel, Siobhan and Abbie.
“I would not have raised as much without their help. And a massive thank you to all who kindly donated to the raffle, Flower Designs, (Dreghorn) J + A Quinn, (Dreghorn) Sainsbury’s, Small Talk, Hair Affair, Amaryllis, Personalised Gift Ideas and to everyone in the community who has been so generous to donate wine, candles, chocolates and more.”
