AFTER THE success of last year's North Ayrshire 10k, entries for registration are open for this year, with another sell-out expected.

Taking place on Sunday, September 4 at 11am the event will be run in partnership with KA Leisure North Ayrshire Community Games so there will be plenty to do for all the family. Apart from inflatable fun and sports taster sessions there will be a 3K Fun Run for all abilities. Registration for this will be on the day. The 10K (15 years+) and fun run will start and finish in the athletics arena next to St Matthew’s Academy in Saltcoats.

Entry for the 10K and further details are available on Entry Central (www.entrycentral.com) or via the NAAC Facebook page. Further details of the Community Games can also be found on the KA Leisure website or on their Facebook page. For more information about the race just email events@naathletics.co.uk or for information about the club in general email info@naathletics.co.uk.

If anyone has difficulty registering online head along to the track on a Tuesday between 6 and 7pm and the club will be delighted to assist.

If you are just starting out as a runner or have not done much exercise in recent years why not head along to the Jog Scotland Group at the track next to St Matthew’s on a Tuesday evening from 6-7 pm.

For a small fee of £2.50 a night you will receive expert coaching in a very encouraging atmosphere.

People of all ability levels attend and everyone is made to feel very welcome. This is an ideal way to prepare for the 10K or the fun run or just to feel a bit fitter. No booking required – just turn up at 6pm at the track!
