NHS Ayrshire & Arran is holding open days for members of the public to have a look around Woodland View at Ayrshire Central Hospital before it opens to patients in May.

Woodland View is the new £46 million, state-of-the-art mental health and community facility in Irvine.  It has 206 private en - suite bedrooms for inpatients distributed  throughout 13 ward areas, all with access to landscaped courtyards.

People from all over Ayrshire are welcome to drop in on:  Friday, April 29, anytime between 10am and 12 noon and then from 2pm until 4pm

Saturday, April 30 anytime between 10am and 12 noon and then from 2pm until 4pm

Please come to the main entrance of Woodland View at Ayrshire Central Hospital, Kilwinning Road, Irvine, KA12 8SS.

Tours will leave on the hour every hour.

John Scott, Project Director for Woodland View and Head of Capital Planning, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for local people to come along and see Woodland View before it opens to patients in May.

“You will be able to take a tour with us around the facility and ask any questions. The building is extremely impressive and is the first of its kind in Ayrshire. We would be delighted to welcome as many people as possible over the two days.”

On the day, members of staff and volunteers will be on hand to provide tours of the new facility and answer any questions. Tours will include the new single en-suite bedrooms, landscaped courtyards, and the main public areas.
