POLICE have arrested a man in connection with two bogus caller incidents in Kilwinning.
Officers at Ayrshire Police Division have confirmed a 31-year-old man was arrested in connection with allegedly stealing the handbags of two women - aged 76 and 89 respectively - after gaining entry to their homes.
The Times previously told how the alleged incidents occurred at around 2.30pm on Saturday, April 2 in Woodwynd and around 4.15pm on Monday, April 4 in Moncur Road.
Following a police appeal, the man appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court from custody in relation to the offences.
