LOCAL registered non-profit charities and organisations have until July 31 to apply for a share of GSK’s Community Awards.
The Irvine GSK site announced in May that it was committing £10,000 for the awards.
Successful applications from organisations and charities dedicated to improving the local Ayrshire community to help people to do more, feel better and live longer will be awarded between £100 - £1,000.
The community focused site was delighted with the level of response last year. They had a record number of applications and many from organisations new to the awards.
Speaking about the awards Site Director, Mike O’Sullivan said: “It was really humbling to see the great work and commitment within the community.
“Last year, through our awards we were able to make a real impact to nineteen diverse charities and organisations which ranged from Irvine &
Troon Cancer Care, Riding for the Disabled Winton Group to Gardening Leave in Ayr, Ayrshire Cancer Support, Children 1st and Age Concern (Broomlands & Bourtreehill).”
If you are a charity or organisation wishing to apply for an award ranging between £100 - £1,000 to fund a specific activity or purpose that will benefit people in Ayrshire, please contact GSK Irvine Communications Manager Anne Cousins, anne.b.cousins@gsk.com for an application form.
Applications close on July 31, 2016.
