LIVE music is coming back to Irvine Beach Park this weekend

The UK’s only touring tribute festival is coming to Irvine for the first time this summer as it celebrates its 10th anniversary.

All the fun kicks off at Irvine Beach Park on Saturday, July 23 with three major tribute acts and five local support bands, who will be turning up the heat this summer.

Less Than Sober, Revolver, Red Pine Timber Co, Old Bull Lee and The Sinsheimers will all be performing.

Licensee Ian Dyer said: “I already run Greenock Fake Festival, and this year has been my second year with the Fake Festivals tour.

“Last year’s event at Greenock was fabulous, ad everyone had a great time, so I thought I would take on another this year at Irvine.

“I love the Fake Festivals concept, as it is an affordable community live music event, with no hidden costs, and a great day out for everyone, not just young festival goers.

"The tribute bands we have are excellent, and really get the crowd going so everyone feels part of the show. I can’t wait for Irvine’s first Fake Festival, and tickets sales are already soaring.”

World-class tributes to Foo Fighters, Blondie and Kings of Leon will hit the stage at Irvine Beach Park, along with five lucky local support bands.

“I love being a licencee, and the whole experience of promoting the festival and the days building up the event helping turn a beautiful green area into a festival site,” continues Ian.

“It’s great fun working on the day meeting friends existing and new, meeting the bands who's professionalism makes the festival a hit, serving the public with refreshments, and generally having a good time. Then on the Sunday we work hard to put the site back to how we took hold of it some 48 hours before.”

The 10th anniversary celebrations will be going on all day and night, and there will be the main bar inside the marquee, and a variety of food and entertainment stalls in the outside arena.
