FREE public wifi has been introduced to facilities across North Ayrshire.
Some of North Ayrshire Council’s most popular properties will now give the public access to the internet, emails and apps on their devices using BT Public WiFi.
Customers visiting the following places will be able to take advantage of the service: Bridgegate House Service Centre, Volunteer Rooms, Redburn Caravan Park, Bourtreehill Library, Dreghorn Library, Saltcoats Town Hall and Ardrossan Civic Centre.
They form part of a wider programme which will see free wifi being rolled out to a number of other buildings over time.
Council Leader, Joe Cullinane, welcomed the introduction of this new service, saying: “Free public wifi is a great addition to our buildings as it allows us to provide our residents with an ever greater level of service.
“As a council it’s vital that we keep pace with the times to ensure we provide a service fit for the 21st Century and this certainly helps us in achieving this.
“We already allow residents to access the internet via our libraries – and our new wifi coverage will complement this offering.”
The network is fully managed by BT who will respond to any faults or customer issues.
Details on how to access the wifi is available at each location.
