AN Irvine man has admitted spitting on a teen girl’s face and causing her to be sick - after he robbed her of a POUND.

Odious Neil McDonald, of Harbour Street, caused the 16-year-old to vomit in Irvine High Street after his disgusting attack.

A court heard last week how the girl and a friend, also aged 16, were walking in the street at around 3.45pm on September 24.

They passed one of the pubs and saw a drunken McDonald.

He then snatched a pound from one of the girl’s hand and walked off.

The pair demanded McDonald, 34, give it back but he refused.

McDonald then grogged on the girl’s face which caused her to throw up in the middle of the High Street.

The teens then contacted the police who managed to trace McDonald.

He was neither cautioned nor charged due to his drunken state.

At Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week, McDonald, appearing from custody, pleaded guilty to the offences.

Presiding Sheriff Iona McDonald remanded him until later this month in order to obtain an updated Community Payback Order progress report.
