KILWINNING Academy pupil Lucy Martin beat her personal best at an international figure skating competition in Bulgaria last week.
The 14-year-old finished third against skaters from all over Europe at the Denkova-Staviski Cup in Sofia on Saturday, October 22.
Lucy represents the Magnum Figure Skating Club. She is also a member of Auchenharvie Ice Dance and Figure Skating Club and is coached by Natalie Cunningham-Dallas, a former British Medallist.
Lucy’s mum Sharon said: “We were amazed because she beat her personal best by three points.
“We’re absolutely delighted for her. The British Championships are at the start of December and to go into that knowing what she’s achieved will be amazing.”
