Ayrshire College students have given community groups a boost by filming a series of interviews to be screened on Town Centre TV.

Step Into Employment students at the Kilwinning Campus filmed and edited the clips, which are feature on the big screen in Irvine from February onwards.

Each video is about three minutes and takes the form of a sit-down interview with representatives from Café Solace, Coastwatch, East Ayrshire Churches Homelessness Action, Hoots Forever Home, Newmilns Ski & Snow Sports, North Ayrshire Foodbank, On Yer Bike Ayrshire, and the Vennel Centre.

In each clip, they explain what their organisation does and how people can get involved.

Mark MacMillan, employability and engagement officer at Ayrshire College, said: “There was a real sense of excitement during this project, as the students were well aware that their finished pieces could potentially be watched by thousands of people.

“Although their time at the College is now at an end, I know they will be looking forward to seeing their work beamed out in Irvine’s town centre over the next few months.”
