A KILWINNING man has admitted to being in possession of a chainsaw and making threats at a petrol station in Dreghorn.

John Robert McNab, of Sundrum Place, behaved in a threatening or abusive manner and stated he was in possession of a chainsaw and firearm at the BP Garage at Corsehill Mount on January 22 last year.

The 27-year-old appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week where he pled guilty to the charge.

He also pled guilty to being in possession of an article with a blade, namely a chainsaw.
