A 58-YEAR-OLD MAN faces trial on 11 charges, including causing a dog unnecessary suffering, assault, making racist comments and threatening three women.

Christopher Thomas Galloway, of Irvine’s Dalmore Way, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week where he denied all charges against him.

Galloway is alleged to have kicked a dog on January 1 at Irvine’s Springfield Gardens.

He is then alleged to have repeatedly punched a man on the head to his injury and behaved in a threatening manner by shouting, swearing and using abusive language.

On January 27 at Eglinton Country Park, Galloway allegedly kicked a dog and tried to punch a woman on the body.

Galloway also allegedly behaved in a threatening or abusive manner towards the woman, allegedly shouting, swearing, raising his hand in a clenched fist and directing racial comments at her.

On February 13 at the same park, Galloway is alleged to have kicked a dog on the head and punched a woman on the head to her injury.

He then allegedly shouted and swore at three women and threatened to have their dogs put down by a vet.

Galloway pled not guilty to all charges and was told he would appear at court for trial in June.

He then reappeared before Kilmarnock Sheriff court again on Monday, February 27 on further charge of assault and offence under the Animal Health and Welfare Act 2006.

The accused plead not guilty and has been remanded in custody.

Intermediate diet and trial dates for Galloway have been set for March 17 and March 30.
