A man was rushed to hospital after being struck by a bus in Irvine.
Just after 3pm on Monday, the pedestrian was hit by the bus in Irvine High Street.
Emergency services attended the scene and he was taken to Crosshouse Hospital for treatment.
The area was closed off for nearly two hours, causing diversions and bus delays.
Police Scotland said: “At around 3.10pm, police were called to a report of a man who had been struck by a bus in High Street, Irvine.
“He was taken to Crosshouse Hospital for treatment. “The road has since been reopened.”
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received multiple calls at 3.07pm of a man who had been hit by a bus in Irvine.
“One paramedic response unit and one accident and emergency unit were sent to the scene.
“The first response arrived three minutes later at 3.10pm.”
