Fire crews are currently tackling a blaze in Bank Street.
A spokesman said: "The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was called at 3.34pm on Tuesday, April 18 to reports of a fire in a derelict building in Irvine.
"There are no casualties."
"Three fire appliances were mobilised to the incident on Bank Street and firefighters are currently tackling the fire with powerful water jets.
The spokesman later said: "Fire crews left the scene at 10.10pm and the incident has been passed to Police Scotland."
