Kilwinning Orchestral Flute band celebrated their 65th anniversary in style last week with an splendid evening of music at Abbey Church Hall.
The group also received a donation of £250 from the Kilwinning Burns Club back in April 12 for the upkeep of the bands premises and instruments.
Conductor William Young told the Irvine Times the night went brilliantly and spoke of his pride in the musicians performance.
“It went very well, it was an excellent night. It was a wee bit special being out 65th anniversary.
“The Provost came along and we also got a donation of £250 from the Kilwinning Burns club.
“The performance of the band was way above standard. It was a great performance. They never fail to amaze me.”
