There's tons of fun happening at Irvine's Harbourside this weekend, from live music, children's activities and Sunday boat jumble.

On the Saturday afternoon there will be outdoor acoustic acts, pipe band, bird shows, face painting, Treasure Hunts and lots more.

There will also be live music from Spleen at the Harbour Arts Centre with support from Long Day Living and Colin Hunter.

Tickets for the HAC gig are £6.

The events are being supported by Irvine and District Tourist association and various local businesses.

The Sunday's West of Scotland Boat Jumble provides the ideal opportunity to seek out, at bargain prices, everything still needed to get boats fully equipped.

Goodies from oars to outboards, fenders, to fishing-tackle, anchors to anti-fouling, will be on offer from more than 40 traders.

Occupying, as usual, the full length of the Scottish Maritime Museum wharf at Irvine’s Harbourside, this is the biggest Boat Jumble in Scotland and will be held on Sunday, April 30.

Gates open at 10am and admission is £4 for adults and free for accompanied children.

And be sure to take advantage of the Maritime Museum’s concession to Boat Jumble ticketholders with their offer of reduced-price admission to all their displays and attractions, including the current exhibition ‘Style at Sea’ featuring the fabulous fleet of Cunard liner.

Accompanied children get into this for free as well. As usual the RNLI Roadshow will be on hand with safety advice and testing life-jackets.

There will also be live music at Harbour Lights, ClubAmericana at the Harbour Arts Centre at 7.30pm, and a Folk group at Watersports from 8pm.
