FORMER prizefighter winner Ryan Brawley is set for a comeback fight in Glasgow this summer after recovering from injury.

The Irvine boxer has been sidelined since pulling out of a scheduled bout in March with cracked ribs.

Now he is set to return to the ring at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow on June 9.

And if he comes through that, he could be set for a showdown in the autumn with former British and Commonwealth light welterweight Willie Limond, who had challenged him to a fight at a show in March. Limond is also in action at Radisson in June.

Brawley said: "I have been doing some light work and gym work but am getting back into training now and am looking forward to getting back into the ring. I'm not sure who I am fighting yet but it won't be Willie l.imond, although there is a show at the Radisson in September and it's possible we could fight then. But I can't even think about that, I have to focus on the next fight.

"I am feeling in good shape and confident of victory. I will keep working hard to get ready for June."
