MP for Central Ayrshire Dr Philippa Whitford has been Sworn In at Westminster for her second term in office having been successfully re-elected at the General Election.
Dr Whitford again took her oath in both English and Scots, having been the first Scottish MP to do so following her election in 2015.
Speaking after her Swearing In, Dr Whitford said: “It is an honour to be sworn in for my second term as MP for Central Ayrshire and I look forward to getting back to work both here at Westminster and in the constituency.
“I would like to thank everyone in Central Ayrshire who voted for me and put their trust in me to represent them once again.
"Of course, regardless of how people voted, I am the MP of everyone living in Central Ayrshire and I, and my team, will continue to work to help all constituents and protect the interests of the whole area.”
