An Irvine man was aggressive and threatening and made sexually offensive comments to police officers, a court heard last week.
Sean McNelis, 34, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court and pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner on May 14.
McNelis committed the offence at his home street in Springside’s Station Drive and within a police car en route to Saltcoats Police Station.
McNelis shouted, swore, threw items around, uttered threatening and sexually offensive remarks, spat inside a police vehicle and towards officers and acted in an aggressive manner.
The court was adjourned in order to obtain a Criminal Justice Social Work Report and a Restriction of Liberty Assessment.
McNelis was bailed and will return to the court in August for sentencing.
