There have been long delays for motorists after bridge resurfacing works on the A78 at Warrix started this week.
The southbound carriageway will be fully closed for four weeks with the northbound side also reduced to one lane.
Following that the project will switch to the Northbound carriageway.
Work began Monday, July 31 and expected to end of September
Diversion routes instruct motorists to take south bound off slip at Warrix Interchange – Follow A71 and take first exit, at Roundabout on Long Drive, take last exit and follow Long Drive to Moss Drive - Follow Moss Drive to Newhouse Interchange and re-join the A78 South bound
The North Bound Diversion Route begins September 4. Motorists instructed to take north bound off slip at Newhouse, take 3rd exit on to Moss Drive, follow Moss Drive and join Long Drive to A71, join A71 to Warrix and re-join A78 northbound.
