Irvine's Bar Sport looks to be on the up with ambitious plans to expand upstairs.
Permission has been asked of North Ayrshire Licensing Board to incorporate the upstairs function suite into a licensed area.
It asks that children and young persons to be permitted access to the function suite which would have capacity for 250.
It also includes additional outdoor drinking area/roof terrace and to be available for use from 8am for breakfast tea, coffee and non-alcoholic drinks.
Hower managers say this will be complementary to Bar Sport but given a different name and serve as a function suite for various events.
A planning application has also been submitted for the erection of retaining walls in the back outside yard to form two terraces, formation of double doors in upstairs building on to 15 metre roof terrace/smoking area enclosed with two-metre vertical timber slatted fence.
