A woman has been disqualified from driving for six months and fined £350 after her vehicle struck and injured a little boy in Irvine.

Alana Harrison, of Livingstone Terrace in Irvine, pled guilty to two charges at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.

On March 31 of last year, Harrison drove without due care or attention in a residential area with children present and near to the roads.

Harrison, 24, failed to pay proper attention to the road ahead and caused her vehicle to strike a six-yearold boy to his injury.

She thereafter failed to slow down or stop the vehicle.

Harrison also admitted to failing to stop and give details after having had an accident but the court admonished her on this charge.
