A man has been jailed for almost five months after throwing a bike at his ex-girlfriend’s window, sending her threatening messages, and challenging her to fight.
John James McDade, of Main Street in Dreghorn, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week from custody, having been remanded at an earlier diet. He pleaded guilty to one charge involving abuse of his ex-partner.
McDade, 30, behaved in a threatening or abusive manner on July 18 at his expartner’s home in Saltcoats.
He repeatedly attended the woman’s home address having been told by her not to, threw a bicycle against a window, repeatedly struck the front door and demanded entry, shouted, swore, challenged her to fight, and repeatedly sent her abusive and threatening text messages.
McDade was jailed for 145 days.
