A young man has admitted to making abusive calls to his teenage girlfriend and assaulting a woman at his home in Irvine.
The 20-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.
He pleaded guilty to one charge of assault and guilty to one charge under the Abusive Behaviour and Sexual Harm (Scotland) Act.
On June 21, the man behaved in a threatening or abusive manner at his home and made phone calls to his 17-year-old girlfriend.
He shouted and swore at her during the calls and sent electronic messages to her which contained abusive remarks.
When they later met up, he threw items at her and continued to shout and swear.
On the same date, also at his home address, the man assaulted a woman by spitting on her body.
The case was adjourned for the court to obtain a Criminal Justice Social Work Report until later in the month.
The man was bailed.
