A COMMUNITY has been left in shock after a 14-year-old girl was found dead in an Irvine Park.
The teenager, named locally as Rhiann Milne,was discovered in Bourtreehill Park at around 11.45am yesterday (Monday, September 11).
Police are describing her death as "unexplained" and are still at the scene which has been cordoned off since her body was discovered.
Locals who knew the youngster have been paying tribute to Rhiann and describing their shock and grief at the terrible news.
One Bourtreehill resident, said: "It's just horrendous. My daughter is friends with her and she is just absolutely devastated. She's distraught.
"No one can believe this has happened, We are all in complete shock and obviously our hearts go out to her family."
