The Kilwinning Community Fireworks will be held on Sunday, November 5 at McGavin Park.

And this year, the organisers have set up two displays on one night. The first display, at 6pm, will be a low noise display lasting five minutes and it is especially suited to those with low noise tolerances and young families.

Then assembling for 6.45pm the full length 18 minute display will take place.

There will be all the usual extras during the night with fire acts performing, free balloon art and great entertainment on the stage.

The organisers suggest you plan to arrive early, remembering no glass, dogs or DIY fireworks are allowed on site. Bring a torch and wear your wellies.

The kids rides this year will be available from gates opening at 4.15pm plus the usual food outlets and stalls.

Organisers are encouraging as many visitors as possible to walk or use public transport.

This year the main parking will be at the Ayrshire College Kilwinning Campus and town centre, from there walk through Kilwinning Academy.

The fireworks are organised by Kilwinning Community Events who rely on the support of community partners and donations received in the collecting buckets.

Donald Reid, lead organiser and chair of KCE said: “With the demise of the Kilmarnock display we will be the only public display operating in Ayrshire on the Sunday night."
