Scott Sinclair has sent his condolences to the family of a late Celtic fan who he met on a flight from Glasgow.

The Parkhead star was on a plane to Bristol and waited after it had landed to get a photo with one of his fans on the tarmac.

Sadly William Sinclair lost his battle with cancer two weeks ago.

His Grandson Matthew thanked the Hoops star for making one of his Grandad's final trips to Parkhead memorable.

Matthew tweeted Scott: "My Grandad travelled up last season to watch Celtic play and lift the trophy. He was a diehard Celtic fan and one of his last wishes was to watch the Bhoys at home.

"When he was travelling back home he saw that you were on the same plane as him and he wanted to get a photo with you when the plane landed.

"You agreed to a photo with him and it made his trip even more special.

"He never stopped talking about meeting the best player at Celtic.

"Sadly Grandad passed away two weeks ago and we the Sinclair family would like to thank you for making his trip even more memorable."

After reading the poignant message Scott Sinclair tweeted back: "Hi Matthew I just saw your post and wanted to send my condolences to you and your family!"

William Sinclair's family now hope to make a trip back up to Glasgow to see a brick in his name be placed at Parkhead.
