BLUSHING soon-to-be brides now have a chance to grab a bargain for their big day, thanks to Banardo's.

The children’s charity has launched its new wedding shop in at 25/27 Bridgegate, Irvine and home to beautiful new bridal wear, offering a wide choice of gorgeous dresses, hats and accessories.

The launch of the shop which was celebrated with a cheese and wine event gave potential buyers a glimpse of the items currently on sale in the shop.

Shop manager, Shona Paterson, said: “How can you recycle, save money and give to charity all in one wedding shopping trip? Go for a charity shop wedding dress of course. The majority of dresses are new, and just like any other wedding dress can be nipped and tucked to your shape.”

The shop is open Monday to Saturday 9.30am to 5.30pm and Sunday 11am to 5.30pm. Wedding dress viewing is by appointment as a general rule – so every customer gets a special wedding dress experience.

Shona Paterson, continued, “With the cost of an average wedding dress estimated to be over £1,300*, we’re encouraging savvy shoppers to pay a visit to our shop, so you can save some money and help support the charity’s vital work. All sales go directly towards the children and families supported through our services across Ayrshire.”
