There were some fantastic Christmas festivities at Irvine’s Rivergate at the weekend.
The Festive Spectacular event was held at the Bridgegate on Saturday, in absence of an official switch on for the Christmas lights which were lit up the night before.
The festive, fun and free musical event was hosted by Irvine’s own Billy Kirkwood and West FM sidekick Zoe Kelly, which also included childrens rides and a games stall.
The Irvine crowd and passing shoppers were entertained throughout the day with performances from X Factor’s 5 After Midnight, Emily Middlemas, Emma Sarginson, Dansarena, Ayr Pipe Band and the children of the Greenwood choir.
Younger guests also enjoy Paw Patrol, The MacDougalls and a visit from Santa. Police were also on patrol throughout the day – also enjoying the tunes and meeting Santa and Paw Patrol.
At the end of the show Zoe said: “Thank you very much Irvine for coming along to see us today. We hope you guys have an amazing Christmas and an incredible New Year.”
