STAGECOACH are set to launch 27 new number 11 buses to operate between Ardrossan, Kilwinning, Irvine and Kilmarnock.
The new E400 double decker vehicles will be on the route from Monday, January 8 and provide a modern upgrade for customers.
Stagecoach say the £5.6million investment is proof of their commitment to providing high quality bus travel to people living and working within North Ayrshire.
The new vehicles which were built by Alexander Dennis at their factory in Falkirk, have Euro6 engines and will provide some of the lowest emissions in Europe.
The vehicles which have comfortable e-leather seats, free WiFi and USB charging points we're officially launched today (Friday) at the Scottish Maritime Museum in Irvine by TV personality Jane McCarry best known as Isa in BBC comedy Still Game.
A spokesperson from Stagecoach said: “Coming soon to a bus stop near you in January we have 27 new state of the art double deck buses for the service 11. Call it a late Christmas present or a great start to the new year, our new buses will be on the route from Monday, January 8 and will feature free Wifi, USB charging points and e-leather seats.
