A North Ayrshire Council video presented by disgraced youth worker Paul Gillespie was still on the authority’s YouTube channel two months after he was found guilty of sexual assaults.
Gillespie was found guilty of three charges of sexual assault after trial in November, but an educational video narrated by the 23-year-old remained online until this week.
However, the council immediately removed the film after we alerted the authority.
The video, Improving the Standards of School Toilets in North Ayrshire, is a 17-minute film presented by Gillespie, celebrating the local authority's award-winning school toilets.
It features the former youth worker speaking to the camera while using the wash facilities in a school toilet.
The video was uploaded to North Ayrshire Council’s YouTube channel in August 2016 – during the time Gillespie was pretending to carry out medical checks on young women with a stethoscope.
A North Ayrshire Council spokesperson said: “As soon as this was drawn to our attention, it was removed.”
