A 20-year-old man who behaved in a threatening manner has been caged for five months.

Liam Shaw, of McGregor Avenue in Stevenston, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week and pleaded guilty to two charges. His plea of not guilty to a third charge was accepted.

On December 3 2016, Shaw shouted, swore and uttered threats at the car park near to Stevenston’s Arran Court.

He appeared at court two days later where he was granted bail. As an accused person having been granted bail, he then failed to appear at a court diet on June 1 of last year.

Shaw was given detention in a young offender’s institution for three months on the first charge and for two months on the second charge.
