A MAN, who was concerned in the supply of cannabis, worth £1400, at his home, has been tagged.

Brendan Saxton, of Auchans Avenue, Dundonald, admitted dealing the controlled class B drug in September last year.

The 34-year-old appeared before Sheriff Desmond Leslie at Ayr Sheriff Court last week.

Depute Fiscal Cath Whyte said: "A sum of £370 and drugs were recovered. I would move to forfeit the £370 and the drugs.

"There was 300g [of cannabis] worth £1400."

Speaking on his behalf, defence solicitor, Glenn Davis, said: "The police put a value of £1400 on the drugs but Mr Saxton believes they were worth £700.

"He is not a stranger to the court but he had been alienated for some time. His last conviction was six years ago. There is nothing else outstanding."

Saxton has been placed on a restriction of liberty order for three months and will remain at his home address from 8pm to 7am.

He will be complete 12 months community payback order under supervision as well as 150 hours unpaid work within six months. The drugs and £370 have been forfeited.
