A MAN seized his ex partner by her feet and dragged her out of the bed while she was naked.
The 26-year-old who lives in Auchinleck and cannot be named for legal reasons admitted assaulting the woman, dragging her from her bed, out of a bathroom and into the kitchen in December last year.
Between January 15 and January 19 he repeatedly demanded access to her property, struck a window, a door, phoned her and uttered threats of violence towards her.
The accused appeared before Sheriff Desmond Leslie at Ayr Sheriff Court last week.
The court heard how the pair had been in a relationship for six years which ended in January 2018.
They have two children together.
Depute Fiscal Cath Whyte said: “Right before the incident the complainer had spend the night at her mother’s.
“She returned home and told the accused where she had been.
“Their two children had stayed with their dad.
“But he accused her of spending it with someone else.
“The woman went to bed to sleep. The man dragged her from the bed from her feet. She was naked at the time.
“Their four-year-old watched this and was distressed.
“The woman phoned her mother and asked her to come and pick her up but did not say why.
“She left the two children with the accused.
“The man got a job away but returned to her home address. At 6am [on January 15, 2018] he accused her of being with someone else.
“He was told to go away. He repeated this the next morning and accused her of being with someone else again.
“The woman was distressed.”
Addressing the dock, Sheriff Leslie, said: “It is concerning that you have a previous conviction involving domestic abuse.
“Any further behaviour of this kind could have serious consequences for you.”
The man has been placed on a community payback order for one year.
