A FREE family fun day will be held next week featuring lots of Easter activities and community groups.

Irvine’s community council has organised a Family Fun and Information Day on Saturday April 7 from 12pm in the Volunteer Rooms.

Entertainment will include inflatables, face painting, arts and crafts and also an Easter Egg Hunt.

There will also be various stalls from groups including the Health and Social Care Partnership, Coastwatch, Break the Silence, AHEAD Community Builders, Irvine Beach Clean, Police Scotland, The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Irvine Locality Planning Partnership, and many more.

Irvine Community Council chair Scott Gunion said: “There will be lots of fun things to keep children and families entertained. We will have inflatables, face painting, and even an Easter Egg Hunt.

“Furthermore, there will be information stalls aimed at providing information to adults and young people. “Our Family Fun and Information Day provides a a great opportunity for residents to come along, meet the community council, find out what it is that we do, and discover ways that they can get involved.

“They can also let us know any views they have about the community or areas of work that they feel would be of benefit to the community.

“The Family Fun and Information Day is completely free. The activities are free, the food is free, and everybody is welcome.”
