CHILDREN had an opportunity to get close to nature when Greenacres Riding Centre held their first Farm Day on Good Friday.
People turned out in good numbers at the Torranyard venue and had the chance to feed the lambs, chickens, turkeys, geese, goats, baby chicks, ducklings, pigs and giant rabbits.
Also on offer were Pony Rides, Clydesdale Rides, a Miniature Pony Derby, Horse and Cart Rides, an Easter Egg Trail, Face Painting, Hot Food and Farm Shop.
It was a fun-filled day and the event was all inclusive apart from the food and farm shop purchases.
The event was such a success that Riding Centre staff have decided to open the doors of Greenacres again on Bank Holiday Monday, May 7 for another fun day.
As our pictures from John Keachie show, everyone enjoyed the sights and sounds at the farm.
