Patient scratched and spat at nurse after assault with shoe
A MAN who assaulted a nurse with a shoe and scratched and spat on another is awaiting sentence.
David Law admitted to hitting the female nurse with a shoe before throwing it at her in Woodland View Hospital on May 25 last year.
He is further accused of spitting on and scratching a male nurse on June 13 last year.
The 48-year-old also admitted behaving in a threatening and abusive manner, likely to cause fear and alarm after shouting and swearing at staff in the Kilwinning Road hospital.
Law, of Bonnyton Road in Kilmarnock, pled guilty at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.
The case was adjourned for reports. He will return to court for sentencing next month.
