A DRIVER has been reported for dangerous driving after three vehicles were involved in a crash close to a Kilwinning primary school.

Police and an ambulance attended the scene on Pennyburn Road on Tuesday but authorities say there were no serious injuries.

A police spokesperson said: “At around 8.45am on Tuesday morning police received a report of a road collision on Pennyburn Road near St Lukes’s Primary involving a minivan and two cars.

“The road was closed at the roundabout near St Luke’s and near the sports club.

“One of the vehicles had to be uplifted and an ambulance has attended the scene. There were no serious injuries.

“One driver has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal for dangerous driving.”
